Abdul Jinadu, a barrister and arbitrator at Keating Chambers, specialises in construction, engineering, and energy disputes, with extensive experience in both domestic and international arbitration. His African experience is particularly notable. Abdul has acted as counsel and arbitrator in major projects across Nigeria, Tanzania, Ghana, and Central Africa. Recently, he has served as a sole arbitrator in a Tanzanian arbitration, president of the tribunal in a $370 million ICC arbitration, and party-appointed arbitrator in a £400 million Nigerian dispute. Additionally, he has chaired a dispute board for a $300 million road project in Central Africa. His work spans various sectors, including oil and gas, solar power, aluminium smelting, and marine construction. Abdul also has extensive experience with cladding-related matters, and major public inquiries. He was instructed as a specialist construction counsel on the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, representing the Bereaved Survivors and Residents, as well as being instructed by The Department of Health and Social Care (UK) in the Covid-19 Inquiry. Abdul’s expertise is recognised in The Lawyer Hot 100 for 2025, and he has contributed to several authoritative texts on construction law.
