Olasupo Shasore, SAN, is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and founding partner at ALP NG & Co, with over thirty-six years of experience in legal practice. He is frequently instructed as lead counsel in diverse commercial and public sector disputes. Shasore is also an adviser on Climate Action and Global Energy Justice, Electricity, and Infrastructure-related transactions. Referred to as a “seasoned arbitrator and strategic litigator” by “Who’s Who Legal”.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise & Investment Council (CWEIC) Nigeria Advisory Board and is a member of the CWEIC International Advisory Board. Recently, he was appointed Chairman of the Committee on the Audit of Agreements and Memorandum of Understanding for Accelerated Gas Development Projects.

Shasore is a seasoned and frequently appointed arbitrator or expert on Nigerian Law, shipping & maritime law, and advises on risk in mining and natural resources. He has also consulted on reforms in the electric power sector. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a former member of the Section on Business Law Council of the Nigerian Bar Association, and a past Chairman of the Arbitration and ADR Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association’s Section on Business Law.

He was the pioneer Vice President of the Maritime Arbitrators Association of Nigeria, a former President of the Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA), and a member of the Lawyers in Energy Network Nigeria. He has been admitted as an arbitrator at the Energy Disputes Arbitration Centre in Turkey and is a pioneer member of The Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Additionally, he is a member of the London Court of International Arbitration Africa User Group, the Panel of Recognised International Market Experts (PRIME) and its Advisory Committee, and a former board member of International Lawyers for Africa (ILFA).
Olasupo Shasore, SAN Shasore serves on several private and statutory boards and is a frequently consulted Trade Law and Maritime expert. Together with the continental firm ALP NG & Company, he has been a resource and champion for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).
