Aniebiet-Abasi Daniel Ubon is a Senior Legal Associate in Mixta Africa, a first-rate real estate and infrastructure development company in Africa. At Mixta Africa, Mr. Ubon provides legal advisory services in the areas of financing, infrastructure, construction, power, real estate, and commercial transactions. Mr. Ubon has worked in the transport, infrastructure, construction, financing, power and dispute resolution teams of first-rate law firms in Nigeria, such as: Udom, SAN & Udom, SAN, Olajide Oyewole (a DLA Piper Africa member firm), and very recently, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, advising project developers, lenders, borrowers, sponsors, contractors in market defining transactions across the entire value chain, some of such market defining transactions include the Ibom Deep Seaport Project and Ibom Industrial City Project in 2018 and 2019, the Lagos State Government’s Blue Line and Redline Rail Projects as advisor to project sponsor and concessionaire.

On the financing side Mr. Ubon has advised lenders and borrowers alike regarding financing and refinancing of aircraft and aircraft engines, construction of Independent Power Plants, luxury residential and commercial buildings, mini grids amongst others. Whilst at the law firm of Olaniwun Ajayi LP Mr. Ubon was seconded to Arnergy Solar Limited (Arnergy) a leading renewable energy company as senior legal advisor – where he superintended over the legal team and advised on financing as well as various commercial transactions. Mr. Ubon has keen interest in legal writing, politics, energy transition, golf and lawn tennis and providing support to not-for-profit organisations in the areas of education, healthcare and energy transition.
