Laura is a qualified advocate of the High Court of Kenya, with over 5 years’ experience of advising clients on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. Laura has advised and represented clients in international arbitrations relating to construction and commercial legal disputes under the auspices of LCIA, DIFC-LCIA, UNCITRAL ad-hoc arbitrations and FOSFA international rules. Recent work highlights on construction include representing a contractor of a turnkey contract under the Silver FIDIC Book, over effects of Covid 19 on the progress of the construction.

Separately, Laura advises clients on matters relating to fraud and asset recovery, and renders advisory work on various matters such as carrying out a detailed review on all Kenyan legislation touching on Environmental, Social and Governance issues and identifying the gaps in the Kenyan legal framework using international standards as a bench mark on behalf of the London Stock Exchange Group and the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum – Kenya.
