Dr. Jimmy Kodo, FCIArb, is an expert in African business and investment law. He has served as sole arbitrator on disputes involving construction, was appointed arbitrator by African States in investment arbitration cases and regularly represents parties in arbitration cases before the ICC and the CCJA. He is a leading OHADA (business legislation for 17 African countries) expert with over 15 years of experience. As a visiting scholar, he has lectured and spoken at seminars at several US universities on African and international legal issues. A former Technical Advisor to the President of the highest OHADA court, he has published extensively on OHADA-related topics, including his recent book “Arbitration in Africa Under OHADA Rules” (Wolters Kluwer, 2020). He is also member of the Singapore International Arbitration Center Users Council.
