Tabitha Raore

Country Representative, Kenya

Tabitha is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with nine years of post-qualification experience. She has worked in the leading law firm Anjarwalla & Khanna LLP as an Associate in the firm’s Corporate Commercial Department, Project & Infrastructure Department and as a Senior Associate in its Dispute Resolution Department. While at Anjarwalla & Khanna, Tabitha was a member of its International Arbitration Team, where she acted for investors, corporates and private equity funds on complex post-acquisition and investor-state disputes. Tabitha currently advises on international arbitration disputes and litigation matters while at the same time pursuing further education in the University of Law, United Kingdom.

Tabitha is passionate about the development of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). She has led and supported various initiatives and activities in this field and continues to do so. This includes as an Africa Representative for the International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) Young Arbitrator’s and Alternative Dispute Resolution Forum (ICC YAAF) (2021-2023); a member of ICC Kenya’s Arbitration and ADR Commission; an Executive Committee Member of Women In ADR; an ambassador for the global Arbitration Lunch Match programme for female practitioners; and as a coach and mentor to university students participating in international legal competitions including as an Academic Training Coordinator for Africa in the Moot, an Assistant Coach for Strathmore University Law School’s VIS Moot team 2020 – 2021 and as a Coach for the University of Nairobi’s Willem C. Vis Moot team, 2021 – 2022 and 2022 – 2023 terms. Tabitha is also a Trustee of the Arbitration Fund for African Students, a UK charity.
